Open Customize

Click Customize in Claude's left-hand menu.

Claude

  1. Open Customize: Click Customize in Claude's left-hand menu.
  2. Add a connector: Choose the Connectors tab, click Add and then Add custom connector.
  3. Name and address: Enter the name and paste the address, then click Continue. Name: Sancera. Address: https://mcp.sancera.ai/mcp.
  4. Change nothing, click Add: A box with technical options appears. Claude has already picked the right ones, the highlighted options. Click Add at the bottom.
  5. Click Connect: The page says the connection isn't finished. That's completely normal. Click Connect.
  6. Paste your key: The Anslut Sancera (Connect Sancera) page opens. Paste your key and click Anslut (Connect).
  7. Choose Always allow: Go back to Customize → Connectors in Claude, click Sancera and choose Always allow for Read-only tools. Otherwise Claude asks for permission on every data request.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Pluginer (Plugins): Click Pluginer (Plugins) in ChatGPT's left-hand menu.
  2. Click Lägg till (Add): Click the Lägg till (Add) button in the top right.
  3. Choose Lägg till en anpassad MCP-server: Choose Lägg till en anpassad MCP-server (Add a custom MCP server) in the menu.
  4. Fill in the box and create: Fill in the fields like this, then click Skapa som en plugin (Create as a plugin). Name: Sancera. Description: optional, copy the text below. Connection: Server-URL, paste the address below. Authentication: OAuth, already preselected. Leave Avancerade OAuth-inställningar untouched.. Checkbox: tick Jag förstår och vill fortsätta (I understand and want to continue). Name: Sancera. Address: https://mcp.sancera.ai/mcp. Description: Sancera gives official statistics and public records for Sweden, the Nordics and the EU (economy, population, prices, interest rates, companies and similar), fetched directly from the publishing agency with the source cited in every answer. Use Sancera for questions that need such figures and cite the source.
  5. Continue to Sancera: ChatGPT shows the Sammanlänka Sancera (Link Sancera) box. Click Fortsätt till Sancera (Continue to Sancera).
  6. Paste your key: The Anslut Sancera (Connect Sancera) page opens. Paste the key from your overview at sancera.ai/app and click Anslut (Connect). ChatGPT normally doesn't ask for permission: the default permission Tillåt verktyg med låg risk (Allow low-risk tools) is enough, you don't need to change anything. If ChatGPT still asks every time: open Pluginer (Plugins) → Sancera → Hantera (Manage) → Behörighet (Permission) and choose Tillåt alla verktyg (Allow all tools).

Gemini

  1. Open Connected Apps: Go to Gemini Settings → Connected Apps.
  2. Add Sancera: Select Add a custom app and paste Sancera's connection address.
  3. Finish the connection: Follow the on-screen instructions. Once connected, use Sancera in the supported Gemini experience.

Cursor

  1. Open MCPs: Click Customize in the left-hand menu, choose the MCPs tab and click New MCP Server.
  2. Choose User: Choose User in the menu that opens, so the connection applies to all your projects.
  3. Paste the configuration: The file mcp.json opens. Paste the configuration below and save with Ctrl+S (Cmd+S on Mac). If the file already lists servers, add the sancera block inside mcpServers. { "mcpServers": { "sancera": { "url": "https://mcp.sancera.ai/mcp" } } }
  4. Click sancera: Sancera now appears in the list as Disabled. Click the row.
  5. Enable and sign in: Turn on the switch next to User and click Authenticate. The Anslut Sancera (Connect Sancera) page opens. Paste your key and click Anslut (Connect).
What does the connection mean?

Sancera connects your AI assistant to official data sources. Add Sancera's connection address, sign in with your key and keep using the assistant as usual.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant use external tools. Sancera is one such tool.

Sancera's tools search official sources such as SCB, Riksbanken and Eurostat and return tables, series and source references.

When the assistant uses a tool, it sends the search query or parameters needed to fetch the data. We record how many requests your key makes and keep, for 90 days, a de-identified template of the question, never the question itself.

To disconnect, remove Sancera under Plugins or Connectors in your assistant.

All steps in text: Claude and ChatGPT

Claude

  1. Open Customize

    Click Customize in Claude's left-hand menu.

  2. Add a connector

    Choose the Connectors tab, click Add and then Add custom connector.

  3. Name and address

    Enter the name and paste the address, then click Continue.

  4. Change nothing, click Add

  5. Click Connect

Step 3

Ask a sourced question

Include a geography, date range and format when they matter. Your assistant usually figures out when to retrieve data on its own — to be completely sure, you can mention Sancera in your question.

Example: Use Sancera: Compare the policy rates in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the euro area since 2024.

The answer should end with a source line ending in via Sancera, with links to Excel and CSV. Then the connection works.

Tools

Tools and their reach

What an assistant can call through Sancera, and where.

The directory listing (what the Claude and ChatGPT directories connect to) shows 39 tools and runs only those; find_data there picks among the same 39.

The full server (https://mcp.sancera.ai/mcp, the address for your own connector) lists every configured tool, and its routers find_data and sancera can run any of the server's internal tools by name — for example get_us_filings, lookup_lei or get_eu_case_law.

Every tool is read-only over the same public sources. The one exception, export_to_excel, writes a download file on Sancera's own server and changes nothing at any source.

The complete catalogue, with each tool's title, read-only flag and which address lists it, is at mcp.sancera.ai/tools.json.

Troubleshooting

If the connection does not appear

Check the link

Use https://mcp.sancera.ai/mcp, with no leading or trailing spaces.

Check that it is enabled

Sancera should appear under Plugins or Connectors in your assistant.

Reconnect

Disable and re-enable the connector, then start a new chat.
